My Bakery Frosting arrived at room temperature - is it still good?

Yes! Our Bakery Frosting can sit at room temperature for a few days. Once you receive it, just pop it in the fridge until you are ready to use.

*Do NOT use if the frosting arrived melted / liquid or if it was in conditions above room temperature (i.e. sitting in the sun for a long period of time).

How do I store FROST Buttercream Bakery Frosting?

Keep FROST Buttercream Bakery Frosting in the fridge until "Best By" date on package. The frosting may be stored in the freezer until use for an extended shelf life.

How do I defrost FROST Buttercream Bakery Frosting quickly?

Simply take out of the fridge or freezer when you start to bake and set on counter.

Once out of the fridge, please leave on the counter for 1-2 hours. If directly out of the freezer, please leave on counter for 3 hours. Bring to room temperature.

In a hurry? Microwave carefully:

- From fridge: 20 seconds MAX

- From freezer: two 20 second bursts

*Microwaving for longer than the suggested duration may cause the frosting to melt and deflate, as it contains real butter.

When is the Bakery Frosting done whipping?

When the Bakery Frosting is ready, it will look fluffy and smooth. When whipping with a mixer, the frosting may first appear more wet & separated before coming together. This is because FROST Buttercream Bakery Frosting is an all natural product, and the butter in the frosting has not yet reached room temperature. It is COMPLETELY NORMAL! Just continue to whip a couple more minutes.

Whip timing: ~5-10 minutes based on beginning temperature.

Do I have to whip FROST Buttercream Bakery Frosting?

FROST Buttercream Bakery Frosting is best at room temperature once it has been whipped with a hand mixer / stand mixer. If you are without a mixer, do not stir with a hand whisk or fork, as the frosting may deflate. Instead, let it come to room temperature, spread, and ENJOY!
